Not all courses have the budget to close for the better part of a season to perform renovations. Ticonderoga, like many facilities, has done the work piecemeal, with the project largely centered on addressing flooding issues on certain parts of the course. The layout dates back to 1926, but come this summer, the Seymour Dunn design should be back up to full strength, even in spite of the distraction caused by a fire that burned down the historic clubhouse in 2018. – TG
