Ninth Hole
Par 5
|
453 Yards
The third par 5 on the front 9 of Ticonderoga Golf Course, the ninth hole plays up hill, back to the base of the clubhouse. Measuring 453 from the back tees, the hole plays longer due to the elevation change. Tee shots cross the trout brook and the best of drives land on top of the hill. Shots into the uphill will lose valuable roll and provide for a challenging stance on the second shot.
The approach shot must clear the left and right greenside bunkers. The green slopes drastically from back to front, holding approach shots, but making for difficult putting. Stay below the hole when possible!
A new 9thgreen is currently under construction to the back and left of the existing green. The new green will add about 30 yards to the length of the hole and offer added challenge by way of the green shaping, consistent with other new greens on the course.
