Golf Course Mechanic

Ticonderoga Golf Course is seeking to hire a full time Golf Course Mechanic.  The Golf Course Mechanic is responsible for implementing and managing a preventative maintenance and service program for all golf course and clubhouse equipment.  The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Scheduled preventive maintenance tasks (ie: oil and filter changes, lubrication/greasing)
  • Blade and reel sharpening
  • Gas, Diesel, and Small Engine repair/troubleshooting
  • Welding
  • Daily adjustments to mowing equipment to assure quality of cut
  • Detailed Record Keeping of equipment maintenance performed
  • Maintaining a clean organized shop and work area
  • Involvement with on course, grounds, and clubhouse maintenance when needed

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday (40hrs/week)
  • Some weekends required

Educational Requirements

Highschool diploma or equivalent

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years mechanical experience
  • Golf Course mechanic experience is a plus, but not required

Special Requirements

  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems and failures
  • Must be a highly motivated, self sufficient individual
  • Must be able to work well with others in a team setting
  • Good communication skills
