Golf Course Mechanic
Ticonderoga Golf Course is seeking to hire a full time Golf Course Mechanic. The Golf Course Mechanic is responsible for implementing and managing a preventative maintenance and service program for all golf course and clubhouse equipment. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Scheduled preventive maintenance tasks (ie: oil and filter changes, lubrication/greasing)
- Blade and reel sharpening
- Gas, Diesel, and Small Engine repair/troubleshooting
- Welding
- Daily adjustments to mowing equipment to assure quality of cut
- Detailed Record Keeping of equipment maintenance performed
- Maintaining a clean organized shop and work area
- Involvement with on course, grounds, and clubhouse maintenance when needed
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday (40hrs/week)
- Some weekends required
Educational Requirements
Highschool diploma or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years mechanical experience
- Golf Course mechanic experience is a plus, but not required
Special Requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems and failures
- Must be a highly motivated, self sufficient individual
- Must be able to work well with others in a team setting
- Good communication skills
