PGA HOPE – Veterans Golf Programme
May 30 at 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
The Ticonderoga Golf Course has joined the PGA HOPE, a Veterans Golf programme that runs from May 23rd to June 20th, every Tuesday from 4-6pm.
This program is exclusively designed for veterans and provides complimentary instructions to improve physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being. Registration is required prior to attending as spots are limited. The PGA HOPE program is funded by PGA REACH and supplemented by PGA Section Foundations, making it free for all veterans. The program introduces the game of golf through a developmental 6 week curriculum led by TGC’s PGA Professionals George Mackey who had trained in adaptive golf and military cultural competency. With a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the PGA HOPE program is an official form of therapy that can be directly referred to veterans.
