Third Hole

Par 5

|

475 Yards

The par 5 third hole is a downhill dog leg right and plays 475 yards from the back tees.  Tee shots must stay left to avoid a steep sloping right fairway and the out of bounds that runs the right side of this hole.  New tee boxes were opened in the 2019 season. The boxes are staggered down the right side of the property line.

A properly placed drive to the flat, left fairway will allow the player to go for the green in two. The player may elect to lay up in the new fairway area that was created by greatly reducing the height of the hill that sat between the player and the green.

Approach shots must be precise as the trout brook lines the left, front and right of the green.  A bunker sits front and left of the green and would save an errant shot from ending in the creek.  Most approach shots that do not land on the generously large green will likely roll into trouble.

The spacious green offers several challenging hole locations and plenty of undulation.  Somewhat of a triangle shape, the widest portion of the green is the very front, narrowing towards the rear of the complex.  Safe shots to the center of the green will likely be pushed left or right.
