Clubhouse Rebuild
The Ticonderoga Golf Corporation (TGC), also known as the Ticonderoga Golf Course or Ticonderoga Country Club, established in 1925, has served Ticonderoga and the surrounding towns as a place of recreation, employment and community events for 94 years.
The original clubhouse, a late 1800s farmhouse, Contained our proshop, locker rooms and our dining facility. The fire of May 2018 resulted in a total loss of the clubhouse. As a result, the club lost an integral revenue source but more so, the community lost an icon. Decades of memories were created in that clubhouse and we’re determined to provide the community with a new place to make memories, a place for local jobs, and a new beacon of hope.
The new facility would employ approximately 25 people in its golf, restaurant, and catering departments and have annual revenues estimated at $1.25M, not only replacing, but expanding on the economic contributions of the previous facility. Additionally:
- The restaurant will be a well-appointed and comfortable setting to meet with loved ones and friends, business clients, and to host a variety of special events. An expanded kitchen will ensure that regional catering opportunities thrive.
- The clubhouse will serve as a centerpiece for positive activities for children participating in the First Tee Initiative. The region’s youth need investments in activities that teach honor, discipline, goal setting, patience, and wellness.
- The clubhouse will be a base of operations for additional activities during all four seasons.
- The capabilities of the expanded clubhouse will be a gateway to new growth, create new demand for lodging and entice visitors to stay longer, to come back, and to live here.
